The Mutoh ValueJet 1608 Hybrid is 64" (1625mm) wide and uses Mutoh's new Bio-Lactite™ corn-based inks (2 x CMYK). The ValueJet Hybrid will print on to a wide range of uncoated roll and rigid material including:

The Mutoh ValueJet 1608 Hybrid roll and rigid printer integrates numerous high tech features for high quality output on to a variety of media.
One such feature is Mutoh's award-winning Intelligent Interweaving print technology (I²). I² drastically reduces or even completely eliminates defects such as horizontal banding, ink mottle, bleed and the visible effects of missing or misfiring nozzles. To achieve this, ink is laid down in carefully optimised wave forms as opposed to the straight lines used on most wide format printers.
Bio-Lactite™ Inks
In addition, the Hybrid uses Mutoh's revolutionary Bio-Lactite™ ink which is 50% corn based and optimised to reduce environmental impact and deliver excellent colour gamut and gloss preservation. These inks ensure uninterrupted printing for extended periods and low maintenance with no requirement for daily cleaning. They are also ideal when customers need green output on recyclable media.
Unique Media Drying System
The ValueJet Hybrid uses a unique media drying system to help reduce energy consumption. Proprietary rapid response heated air knives deliver instant heat from the top rather than from beneath. This top heating is fast and efficient meaning no extra drying is required and the output is ready to be used straightaway.
Front & Rear Roller Tables
With front and rear roller tables, the printer can accommodate rigid materials up to 10mm thick with a maximum weight of 5kg. Automatic media thickness detection helps simplify the set up.
Roll Media
When used with the tension winder 30 system, the Hybrid can take media rolls up to 30kg or with the heavy duty motorised unwinder/winder, the printer can take roll up to 100kg.
Conversion from rigid to roll and vice versa only takes a few minutes.
