Colourgen has announced that ANDesign UK has recently purchased a Seiko II ColorPainter V-64S from reseller partner, Andersons. The new printer replaces ANDesign’s ColorPainter 64S, which it had been running for over five years. Andy Williams, Director of ANDesign UK, comments, “We selected the ColorPainter V-64S because it provided a more environmentally friendly printing solution, as well as being a faster and technologially more advanced machine. We have always been really happy with our previous ColorPainter and selecting this machine was an easy choice for us. Since installing the V-64S it has delivered everything we expected and are confident we made an excellent decision.” The Seiko ColorPainter V-64s produces 720 x 720 dpi printing resolution with CMYK and LcLm colours. The newly developed print head allows the printer to achieve print speeds of 16sqm/h in quality mode, the fastest speed in its class. The new “EG-Outdoor EX” mild solvent ink set has very low-odour, which offers a better working and display environment while providing extensive media versatility, exceptional colour, dry times, glossiness and overall outdoor lightfastness. In its first few weeks, the new V-64S has already produced some high quality output for ANDesign’s customers. “We have provided some really impressive fine art prints onto Perspex for Aston Villa FC and also some interior manifestations for the College of Food. The printer is very easy to use, reliable, fast and produces truly stunning displays. It’s a great printer and we are looking forward to getting the most out of it over the coming months,” adds Andy Williams.
